AHPI partners with UAE-based Mulk Med Healthcare to promote medical tourism
The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) (AHPI), the apex body representing nearly 20,000 hospitals across the country, has partnered with UAE-based multinational Mulk Med Healthcare Group to strengthen India’s position as a preferred global healthcare destination and expand access to high-quality, affordable care for international patients.
The partnership will begin with pilot programmes in select states, followed by a phased national rollout. AHPI and Mulk Med also plan to explore additional collaborations with leading hospitals, insurers, and international healthcare partners to further strengthen India’s medical tourism ecosystem and ensure wider access to trusted, quality-driven healthcare solutions. The partnership is expected to benefit patients across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS countries, and other emerging markets seeking trusted, cost-effective medical treatment.
“Our collaboration with Mulk Med strengthens India’s position as a global healthcare hub and ensures international patients can access high-quality, ethical, and affordable care through AHPI member hospitals,” said Dr. Sunil K Khetarpal, Deputy Director General, AHPI.
Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani, Director General, AHPI, added, “India is uniquely positioned to deliver excellence in clinical care at an affordable price point. This partnership enhances AHPI’s mission to deliver real, measurable health impact across communities—both domestic and international.”
Dr. Nawab Shafi Ul Mulk, President, Mulk Healthcare Enterprises, said, “This partnership with AHPI marks a transformative milestone. Together, we are enabling millions to access equitable, world-class healthcare in India—swiftly, transparently, and at the right cost.”
Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman, Mulk International, said, “India is our home country. We are eager to bring world-class healthcare expertise to the doorstep of every citizen, and to touch millions of lives globally across healthcare, energy, infrastructure, and other innovative domains.”
Through this partnership, global patients will gain structured access to AHPI member hospitals using Mulk Med’s digital platform, enabling faster referrals, transparent treatment options, and coordinated care delivery. Patients will be able to undertake remote AI-driven health assessments, receive rapid preliminary diagnosis and triage, compare treatment options across India and more than 20 other countries, and access competitive global pricing for medicines. End-to-end support services, including travel health insurance, visa assistance, and hospital appointment scheduling, will further enhance the patient experience.
