Working women in MNC recuperates from panic disorders after visit to Manasthali

Manasthali, a leading mental health and wellness platform, has released a case study on Tulisha Sengupta (name changed), a mental health patient who overcame severe depression and anxiety through therapy. Sengupta was referred to Manasthali after expressing concerns to her primary care physician about feelings of hopelessness, isolation, and anxiety.

The patient reported that she had been struggling with these symptoms for several months and that she had started to interfere with their ability to function on a day-to-day basis. Upon arrival at the clinic, she underwent a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, which included a review of her medical history, as well as a series of interviews with a licensed Manasthali therapist team. The assessment revealed that Ms Sengupta was experiencing severe depression and anxiety, which had been triggered by a combination of personal and professional stressors.

The 27-year-old woman is originally Lucknow based and is now working in an MNC in Gurugram and Dr Jyoti Kapoor,Founder-Director and Senior Psychiatrist, Manasthali treated her with some therapy sessions from expert therapists.

“She was immediately enrolled in a cognitive-behavioral therapy program, which involved weekly sessions with licensed Manasthali therapist team. Over the course of several months, our therapist team worked with Tulisha to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, as well as to develop coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and anxiety. Through therapy, the team was able to gain insight into the root causes of her  depression and anxiety and develop a set of tools to manage her symptoms. She also learned how to identify negative self-talk and replace it with positive affirmations, as well as how to practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques to manage stress and anxiety,” said Dr Jyoti Kapoor, Founder-Director and Senior Psychiatrist, Manasthali about the diagnosis.

Manasthali has recently announced its initiative to support women in the corporate world for their mental well-being. Many women in the corporate sector have been reported to struggle with mental health issues due to the increasing work pressure, gender bias, and lack of support from their peers and colleagues.

As the therapy progressed, Ms Sengupta reported feeling more in control of her emotions and better equipped to manage the challenges of daily life. She also reported an improvement in her relationships with family and friends, as well as an overall improvement in her quality of life.

“Today, Tulisha has successfully completed her therapy program and is thriving. She continue to practice the techniques she learned in therapy and have developed a strong support network to help them through any future challenges. We are proud to have played a role in her recovery and to have been able to provide them with the tools she needed to manage her mental health. We hope that this case study will serve as an inspiration to others who may be struggling with similar challenges and encourage them to seek the help they need to overcome their mental health issues,” Dr Kapoor added.
