The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) New Delhi is all set to implement the Touch-Free Facial Recognition Based Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (FR-AEBAS) to ensure efficient attendance tracking for all employees while prioritizing the health and safety of both staff and patients. The hospital will start the facility from October 31 this year.

The hospital has directed to issue work orders to the National Informatics Centre (NIC) or the relevant service provider (NICS)..

“In response to the directive issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), AIIMS New Delhi is committed to modernizing its attendance recording system. The FR-AEBAS system will utilize facial recognition technology linked to Aadhar authentication to accurately record and monitor employee attendance”, said AIIMS Director Dr M Srinivas.

This cutting-edge solution is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce administrative overhead, and provide a more secure and convenient way for AIIMS New Delhi employees to mark their attendance, he added. Professor in charge of the Computer Facility will oversee the implementation of the FR-AEBAS system in close association with NIC.
