AIIMS administration is tight-lipped on the subject of opening Trauma Center completely for non-covid patients.

As the second wave of Covid19 has knocked us, vaccination drive is on the rise across the nation. On the other hand, several hospitals under Delhi Government have started OPD and treating non-covid patients. But, India’s premier hospital AIIMS attitude towards non-covid patients is beyond consideration. The door of AIIMS trauma has been shut for other patients for over one year.

The Trauma Centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, was designated the city’s COVID-19 hospital when Covid was in its first phase last year. And, such facilities still continue after one year and has shut the door for other serious patients.

The patients across the nation approach India’s premier health organisation AIIMS for better treatment, but, in return, they get ‘Sorry’ and are being referred other hospitals in absence of beds in Trauma and so called other reasons. However, even after COVID19 infection is somehow under control and only countable patients are getting treatment, AIIMS Trauma center does not accept non-covid patients.

AIIMS administration is tight-lipped on the subject of opening Trauma Center completely for non-covid patients.

AIIMS Doctor says that instead of creating panic in name of COVID19, Covid management is the need of hour to provide better treatment, where AIIMS Administration lacks.
