World Homoeopathy Day 2025: Symposium to expand avenues of ‘Gentle Therapeutic System’

World Homoeopathy Day

As an ode to Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy, on his birth-anniversary on 10th April, the Central Council for Research in Homoeopath (CCRH) under the aegis of Ministry of Ayush, along with NCH and NIH will be organising a two-day symposium on 10th – 11th April 2025 at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Termed as the biggest symposium ever for Homoeopathy, World Homoeopathy Day 2025 aims easy access to research advancements, its application and impact on wellbeing and industry perspectives.  This symposium will cater not only to academia and research but will also brings policy makers and industry experts on the same platform. It will also feature largest ever exhibition of the Homoeopathic industry and largest national level competition on ‘Live Materia Medica’.

Experts from the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), and the Ministry of Ayush (Homoeopathy) discussed the key aspects of homoeopathy, including its education system and institutional contributions and agreed that India has emerged as a global ambassador of traditional medicine systems and the Government of India through Ministry of Ayush is strengthening India’s healing hand.

The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) is ensuring standardized education and skill development while Central Council for Research in Homoeopath (CCRH) is steering efforts to support advance researches in Homoeopathy and its practical application. National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) is working to provide structured academic training and hands-on clinical exposure for future homoeopaths.

Sharing his thoughts with media, Dr Subhash Kaushik, Director General of Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) expressed, “This year, we are proud to host the celebration at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Center in Gandhinagar, Gujarat—marking the largest-ever gathering of homoeopathy professionals.With over 10,000 delegates expected to attend from various regions of the world, this event stands as a monumental occasion to celebrate, collaborate, and advance the future of homoeopathy.”

Speaking on the theme he added, “The theme of this year’s World Homoeopathy Day, ‘अध्ययन, अध्यापन, एवं अनुसंधान’ (Education, Teaching, and Research), highlights the collaborative efforts of all key governing bodies of Homoeopathy—the National Commission for Homoeopathy, the National Institute of Homoeopathy, and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, each of which is the organisation looking after these three pillars of homoeopathic medical system.”

Dr. Pinakin N. Trivedi, Chairperson, In-charge National Commission of Homoeopathy (NCH) highlighting the magnitude of this symposium added, “This WHD is going to witness the biggest representation of the education sector.”

Earlier World Homoeopathy Day were celebrated in New Delhi with the Honourable President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu in year 2024 and Honourable Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankar  in year 2023 gracing the event.

The panel and media interaction today was presided by Dr. Sangeeta Duggal (Advisor, Homoeopathy, Ministry of Ayush), Dr. Pralay Sharma (Director, NIH), Dr. Subhash Kaushik (Director General, CCRH), Dr. Pinakin N. Trivedi (Chairperson-in-Charge, NCH) AND Dr. Tarkeshwar Jain (President, Homoeopathy Education Board).
