Aerobic exercise helps cognitive function in older adults: Study

A recent study shows a memory biomarker, myokine Cathepsin B (CTSB), increased in older adults following a 26-week structured aerobic exercise training. Study conducted on older adults with familial and genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease. Increasing evidence shows that physical activity and exercise training may delay or prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
