After the DNA publication did a story on fatty liver and highlighted that the different Yoga posses can help manage the problems of liver, the health experts and doctors termed it misleading and nonsense information.
The DNA in a web story has said that Yoga Assans have proved effective in reversing the fatty liver as they can help stimulate the liver and boosts its function. However, doctor said that none of these poses or classical Yoga asanas have been proven beneficial for preventing or treating fatty liver disease.

A doctor with TheLiverDoc id said, “None of these poses or classical Yoga asanas have been proven beneficial for preventing or treating fatty liver disease. They also dont detox anything. The liver and kidneys are our natural body detoxes and “detoxing the liver” feels like teaching a bird how to fly or a fish how to swim. It is the stupidest terminology in the wellness industry. Posing like a triangle, crane, mouse, lion or a dog does nothing to the liver”.
The doctor also questioned the used image and said, “In fact, the first organ in your title image on fatty liver is actually the lung. Fire the high schooler who is in charge of your graphics and your account handle”.

Doctor said that fatty liver disease can be due to alcohol, metabolic diseases or both. In alcohol-related fatty liver, without stopping alcohol, the liver fat does not go away, how much ever time spend or how many Yoga poses done.
Doctor advised simple aerobic exercise, aerobic exercise with resistance and training high-intensity interval training (HIIT). “Simplest physical activity one can perform, to reduce liver fat, even without losing weight is 150 minutes per week of brisk walking (100 steps in 1 minute) equivalent to 750 metabolic equivalents of task-minute per week AND NOT Yoga poses”, said the doctor.
