The doctors from Radio diagnosis from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital on Monday held a camp in Pillanji Village here to raise awareness on Breast Cancer. Doctors organized a walk in the locality and staged plays to highlight the importance of early detection of breast cancer.
Dr Shibani Mehra, HoD, Radiology, said, “Breast cancer makes up 25 percent of all cancers that affect women world wide. In India mortality rates from breast cancer are high. Every 13 minutes one woman dies of breast cancer in India. Women must get mammogram test done annually”.
Doctors also explained ways of early breast self examination, signs and symptoms of breast cancer to the women at the event.
