USV gets strengthens position in Cardiology, with dedicated plant in Himachal Pradesh

USV, an Indian multinational healthcare company, announced the opening of a dedicated new manufacturing plant in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. As per Iqvia January 2023 data, USV is the leader in the cardiovascular diseases segment by prescription. 

The new dedicated facility will improve access to high quality and affordable Ecosprin AV and further strengthen its leadership in the cardiology segment. With this new facility, the product will now be available in a more patient friendly pack.

There are an increasing number of cases of cardiac events in our country even for younger individuals. Aspirin and Atorvastatin play a vital role in heart health to protect patients from cardiac events.

The plant was inaugurated by Mr Debabrata Bhadury, Director, USV in the presence of USV Chairperson Ms. Leena Gandhi Tewari and Managing Director Mr Prashant Tewari.  “This modern facility is of strategic importance to serve Indians to keep their heart healthy by offering a lifesaving quality brand at an affordable price”, said Ms.Leena Gandhi Tewari at the plant inauguration.

Mr Prashant Tewari, Managing Director said “This new unit at Baddi will contribute further to our responsibility of saving lives through offering quality medicines.”

The plant uses high-tech machinery and advanced technology in manufacturing and automated process checks to assure product quality and efficacy. This meets the long term endeavor of contributing effectively to the well-being of patients with heart ailments by enhancing patient outcomes. The plant has many green initiatives like renewable energy usage, rainwater harvesting, and tree plantation already incorporated, right from inception.

M M Venkatachalam, Director USV said “The facility is very impressive and upgraded in terms of technology used, automation, QC, testing and sustainability practice. In the recent past USV has made great strides in new facilities, technologies, efficiencies, and capacities.”
