Exclusive: Health Ministry to hold special camp for MPs and family amid rising Covid19, Doctors question special treatment

Alas of VIP culture in India! At the same time where poor and downtrodden are left with no option but to wait for their turn of covid infection in absence of proper health care treatment, a special health camp is being organized.

India is going through the second phase of COVID19 vaccination across the nation, on the other hand, the COVID19 infection is also on rise in many states. In total, India has registered 157,385 (as per the data available) deaths due to Corona virus infection.  Doctors and health scientists are warning continuously for next phase of covid infection of other variants which may be more sever and posing more threat on people.

Alas of VIP culture in India! At the same time where poor and downtrodden are left with no option but to wait for their turn of covid infection in absence of proper health care treatment, a special health camp is being organized for Member of Parliaments (MPs) and their family members in Parliament in current session for two weeks.

At the behest of Lok Sabha Secretariat, Health Ministry will organize a special health camp for MPs and their family members from March 15 to 19 and March 22 to 26 during parliamentary session. All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has been assigned this task to provide specialty and super specialty services to MPs and their family members.

However, questions have been raised for doctors of AIIMS on this special treatment for MPs. Dr. Vijay Gurjar, Assistant Professor in department of Geriatric Medicine, tweeted saying that this is the misuse of resources. Dr Vijay said, this camp is totally useless& unscientific. Why they need super specialist care at their door steps When Poor Patients are being sent back with NO DATES AVAILABLE, tagging PM Modi.

Dr. Vijay Gurjar has asked PM Modi to intervene in the matter of special treatment at the earliest for the sake of poor and downtrodden of India.
