Free comprehensive health checkup Camp held to commemorate PM Modi’s birth by BJP Leader Umang Bajaj

In a bid to ensure the overall well-being of people from the marginalized section of society, BJP Leader and Philanthropist Umang Bajaj organised free comprehensive health checkup camp on Sunday. The initiative was a part of the flagship ongoing ‘Seva Pakhwada’ to commemorate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and salute the father of the nation on his Gandhi Jayanti and the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta inaugurated the health checkup camp in the presence of Rajesh Goel, Karol Bagh Distt. President. On his visit, President Gupta appreciated the initiative’s aims to make a positive impact on the lives of people.

“As a responsible citizen and a politician, I am committed to giving back to society”, said Umang Bajaj, Yuva Mantri, BJYM Delhi State at Health Camp Site.

Speaking about the health check-up camp, Fertility Expert Mrs Archana Dhawan Bajaj, Founder, Anshuman Foundation said “Our mission is to provide better health facilities and create awareness about health and hygiene among the people in our locality, we will continue to organise more such camps which will benefit the people.”  

A team of male and female physicians with a support staff carried out physical examinations of patients and blood pressure monitoring keeping in mind the necessary precautions and social distancing measures amid COVID-19. Those with pre-existing medical conditions were advised medications and consultations by doctors.

Free health facilities in the camp for marginalized society included Comprehensive Health checkups along with other necessary tests like Bone Density Test, Haemoglobin, Blood group Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure Test were provided. It also included medicines for Iron deficiency, worm infestation, calcium deficiency, URTI, cough, cold and fever were also provided free of cost and health staff tried to instil health consciousness in visitors and make them aware of preventive measures against several diseases.

Special Efforts were made to provide Free eye check-ups aong with free Spectacles. Also, Cataract tests were done free of cost in the camp and subsequent surgery will be done free of cost to the patient. Free Facility for Covid-19 Vaccination (Covishield & Covaxin) including booster doses along with Corbevax vaccination for children.

With special focus on health of women, a large number of free sanitary pads were distributed. Along with this, nutritious and clean food packets had also been provided free of cost to eliminate malnutrition.
