The numbers tell a story that medicine has been slow to hear. Vertigo and balance disorders affect 40 per cent of adults in India, with prevalence climbing sharply with age — striking one in three people over 60, and one in two over 80. Beyond the personal toll, the public health consequences are grave: dizziness has been shown to make older adults over 60 per cent more likely to fall,³ and falls remain the leading cause of accidental death in people above 65.³
