Dr. Girish Tyagi takes charge as Delhi Medical Association President

Dr. Girish Tyagi has officially assumed the role of President of the Delhi Medical Association (DMA), one of India’s oldest and most esteemed medical organizations, with a legacy spanning over 110 years. Dr. Tyagi’s leadership is expected to bring a new era of proactive healthcare initiatives and strategic collaborations to address pressing medical and social issues.

Dr. Tyagi takes over from Dr. Alok Bhandari and is joined by Dr. Satish Lamba as the Honorary State Secretary and Dr. A.S. Popli as the Honorary Finance Secretary. Additionally, Dr. Neelam Lekhi has been appointed as the President-elect.

With a strong background in medical education, service, and leadership, Dr. Tyagi has been recognized for his commitment to medico-social causes. Under his guidance, DMA played a crucial role in mitigating challenges , supporting healthcare professionals and advocating for policy changes.

The DMA, under Dr. Tyagi’s leadership, aims to work closely with government agencies, private practitioners, corporate hospitals, and various medical professionals to address healthcare concerns in Delhi NCR. The organization is set to focus on tackling medical, social, and healthcare challenges impacting the region.
