12 suspected of Omicron admitted at Delhi’s LNJP Hospital

A total of 10 persons suspected of Omicron covid variant has been admitted in Delhi’s Lok Nayak Hospital.


Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director, Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, which has been designated for Omicron infection treatment said on Friday, “We have admitted total 10 individuals who are suspected of new Covid variant Omicron”. However, he underlined that none of them have been identified yet infected with Omicron variant. He said that their genomen sequencing reports are awaited.

Dr Suresh Kumar said that samples who have been identified today will be sent for sequencing today. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Thursday had informed that 8 samples were sent yesterday for genomen sequencing. However, their reports are also awaited.
