DMA holds workshop on Capacity Building of Physicians on salt Reduction

Dr VK Paul, Member, NITI Ayog on Health, on Sunday inaugurated a workshop on ‘Capacity Building of Physicians on salt Reduction and Low Sodium Salt Substitute’. The workshop was held by Delhi Medical Organisation in association with Sapiens Health Foundation Network.

Over 140 delegates attended the workshop. Eminent speakers including Dr Vijay Kher, Dr Umesh Khanna, Dr Manika Sharma, Dr Bharat Shah and Dr Ajay Kher addressed the occasion on salt and health, Modifiable Risk Factors and Strategies for Salt Reduction.

Talking about the workshop, DMA President Dr Girish Tyagi said it was held to develop capacity building in promoting the salt reduction among public and contributing to national health outcomes.
