Bengaluru: The four-day second edition of the Bangalore Health Festival (BHF) will begin from June 14 at Palace Grounds. The festival will have a series of talks by medical specialists, panel discussions, debates, open houses and health check-ups for students, senior citizens, women, corporates and other stakeholders from the healthcare industry.

Deepak Thimmaiah, festival director, said “It is important to become conscious of one’s health and take up serious measures to ensure urban and hectic lifestyles don’t pose a threat to our quality of life. We need to be more aware of the options available to us to live a healthy life.”

The Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology will conduct a free screening for cancer at the venue, while healthcare startups will showcase latest in healthcare technology and innovations. The festival will also host sessions on healthy cooking. A series of events and cultural activities are planned in the days leading up to the festival. This includes painting and essay-writing competitions for children, quizzes on healthcare and poster-making.
