Indian Medical Association has been in against of mixopathy policy and has started agitation across the nation.

The members of Indian Medical Association in Ranchi protested against center’s mixopathy policy and staged one-day hunger strike on Sunday.

Indian Medical Association, headquartered at Delhi, has started nation-wide campaign and protest against Union Government’s mixopathy policy. The protest in Jharkhand was the part of the protest.

The nationwide protest has been erupted against the mixopathy policy in the wake of a notification issued by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), a statutory body under the Ayush ministry, which says that Ayurveda doctors can perform select surgical procedures after taking a bridge course of six months

Notably, the protesting doctors had last month boycotted OPD services for a day in both state-run and private hospitals as part of the agitation.

Indian Medical Association has been in against of mixopathy policy and has started agitation across the nation. The doctors threatened to surrender their licences if the government does not withdraw its decision.
