Here are few easy ways to make our hearts more healthy : 

Today is the world Heart Day. As we are passing through a tough time of COVID19 pandemic, it has become more important for all of us to take extra care of our hearts. 

According to the World Heart Federation, cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the primary cause of death on the planet and the causes range from ‘smoking, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity, to air pollution, and rare and neglected conditions such as Chagas Disease and Cardiac amyloidosis’.

Here are few easy ways to make our hearts more healthy : 

Eating healthy

The hectic and erratic lifestyle is the primary reason of heart ailments. As use of processed food items, consumption of junk food is on the rise, it causes more heart problems. Use homemade food, cooked from fresh vegetables. Add vegetables, whole grains, protein-rich food items such as chicken, eggs, meat, lentils to choosing healthy oils and including milk and milk-products in your diet.

Stress management

Stress is the reality of this world and point is to manage that stress. From being scared of getting infected, losing job, financial constraints and others contribute to mental stress. The best is to talk it out. Call or video chat with friends and family members, tell them about how you feel so that you are relived of the stress in some form.

Physical activity

Exercising for at least 45 minutes in a day or taking every opportunity to walk around at home when working from home, going for a walk and ensuring 10,000 steps a daily can do miracle with heart.

Ensure Adequate sleep

Adequate sleep is key to ensuring a healthy heart, lack of sleep increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Ensure to have sound sleep of at least 7-8 hours at night that will not only help you stay fit and energetic during the day, but also keep your heart healthy.
