The ministry of home affairs rolled out new Unlock 4 guidelines on Saturday. The new guidelines have allowed metro services to be operational from September 7. As per new guidelines, metro will be operational in a phased manner.
The other gatherings like social, political, academic, sports, religious and other functions will be allowed with a limit of 100 people as part of the new rules from September 21. However, schools, colleges, swimming pools and indoor theatres will remain closed.
This ‘Unlock 4’ phase will be in effect till September 30.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has issued a statement regarding the metro operation. DMRC said that service will be resuming for the public from 7th September 2020 onwards in a calibrated manner.
Further details on the Metro functioning and its usage by the general public will be shared once the detailed SOP on Metros is issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in the next few days.
