New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Tuesday claimed that his Ayurvedic Company Patanjali has prepared the first Ayurvedic medicine for Covid-19 treatment. But, Ayush Ministry by the evening on Tuesday ordered to stop Patanjali’s Covid-19 treatment advertisement.
After intervention from Ayush Ministry, Patanjali Ayurved CEO took to the twitter and clarified the confusion and said that the firm gave all the information about its newly launched Covid-19 medicine to Ministry of AYUSH. He said that there is no more communication gap with Ayush Ministry.
Acharya Balkrishna twitted, ‘This govt provides encouragement and pride to Ayurveda. Communication gap has been done away with and we have 100% fulfilled all standard parameters for Randomised Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trials. We’ve given info for the same to Ministry of AYUSH’.
Earlier, Ayush Ministry said that no information about medicine-composition, research and other details have been communicated to the ministry. As per the claim made by Yoga Guru, the medicine called –Coronil- has been prepared after clinical research and is clinically controlled trial based evidence and research-based medicine and will help in treating covid-19.
Taking the cognizance of this advertisement, the Ministry of AYUSH has stopped the advertisement being run in media till the issues get resolved.
